Patria has received its new training aircraft, especially well suited for instrument flight training. Patria Pilot Training Oy, operating at Helsinki-Malmi Airport, ordered three four-seated Cirrus SR22 GS G3 aircraft in January 2010 to replace the current Piper Arrow aircraft.

“With this purchase Patria strengthens its role in the field of domestic and international civil pilot training and acts as the trendsetter in Finland what comes to applying technological solutions in the harsh environment we train our pilots in”, states Jukka Holkeri, Patria’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Patria Helicopters AB, currently maintaining Patria's Bravo fleet, will also maintain the Cirrus fleet in the future.

Patria is a defence, security and aerospace group with international operations delivering its customers competitive solutions based on own specialist know-how and partnerships. Patria is owned by the State of Finland and the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company EADS N.V.
