Patria starts employee co-operation negotiations in its Land Business Unit. Negotiations concern Sastamala Unit with 23 employees. Land Business Unit employs some 500 people. Production in Sastamala consists of heavy ammunition and their shelves mainly for the Finnish Defence Forces.

Negotiations will be started due to the productional and financial reasons. As the Finnish Defence Forces orders reduce heavily the current order backlog is finished by the end of summer. In a worst case scenario negotiations may lead to closure of the factory in Sastamala and redundancy of all personnel. Objective of the negotiations is to find a solution and possible arrangements to retain the production capacity in order to secure the national supply. Details and actions will be determined during the negotiations.
