The Finnish Air Force and Patria Aviation Oy have signed on July 7, 2010 an agreement concerning the basic training and technical support of the Vinka fleet. The new contract period is from 2010 to 2018.

Compared to the previous contract period from 2005 to 2010, Patria’s role to provide flight training will increase and is in line with the Finnish Air Force’s resource planning.

The total value of the contract is EUR 42 million (incl. V.A.T.) and the estimated amount of work force needed is 190 man work years.

Patria will provide major part of the flight training and is fully responsible of the Vinka fleet management including logistic support and all maintenance and repair work.
