Consideration of charges complete for the Slovenia project

The Finnish Prosecution Service has completed consideration of charges in relation to Patria’s Slovenian vehicle project. The consideration of charges was based on the pre-trial investigation initiated by Finland’s National Bureau of Investigation in 2007.
According to an announcement by the Finnish Prosecution service, six persons will be facing charges of aggravated bribery suspected to have taken place in 2005–2007. In addition, some of the defendants will face charges for business espionage. In the course of the pre-trial investigation, all suspects have denied accusations against them. Furthermore, the prosecutor demands that a corporate fine be imposed on Patria Land Services Oy.
In addition to the aforementioned, the prosecutor has made seven decisions of non-prosecution.
From Patria’s viewpoint, it is positive that the pre-trial investigation and consideration of charges are now complete, having been pending for five years, and that court proceedings on the case may begin. Patria has been providing assistance to the police in the investigation in order to promote the rapid settlement of the case. The company will now familiarise itself with the material it has received, and the case will proceed within the timeframe and in the manner ordered by the court of law.
