Patria attends the International Defence Exhibition and Conference IDEX in the United Arab Emirates on 17-21 February. Patria showcases the armoured wheeled vehicle Patria AMV and Patria Nemo mortar system, which have both been selected by global customers, including the UAE Armed Forces.

The venue is the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Patria’s display is located on the exhibition lot B20, in hall 8.

Patria AMV – the undisputed market leader

One of Patria’s most essential export products is the Patria AMV (Armoured Modular Vehicle). Today the number of globally contracted Patria AMV exceeds 1,400 vehicles, thus being the undisputed market leader of modern armoured 8x8s. In addition to the UAE Armed Forces Patria AMV is contracted among others by the Finnish, South African and Swedish Defence Forces, and it has been fielded in ISAF operations since the year 2007 by e.g. Polish troops.

Patria Nemo – the most advanced mortar system

Patria also produces advanced mortar systems. The newest product of Patria’s mortar systems is Patria Nemo, which is a 120 mm remote controlled mortar turret, providing indirect and direct fire as well as MRSI (Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact) and direct lay capabilities. As a modern and compact system, Patria Nemo can easily be mounted onto various armoured vehicles, both wheeled (6x6, 8x8) as well as tracked ones. Due to its low weight, Patria Nemo is now also adaptable to lightweight, high-speed vessels and can be effectively used for harbour patrolling and protection, coastal guarding and supporting infantry landing operations.

Patria Nemo can also be equipped with the Fire Control System - Command Post (FCS-CP) solution, which is designed to support and coordinate indirect fire for one or several Patria Nemo Mortar Units enabling the Units to be operated as a group.

The FCS-CP solution enables the commander to have automated tools for fire planning and direction of fire providing significant improvements to the capability of achieving optimum fire for effect to the target.
