The Nordic area’s largest manufacturer of night vision devices, Millog Oy, has established a new company called Senop Oy, which will focus on modern sensor technology and system integration. Senop Oy began operating on 1st of January 2016, when Millog Optronics’ Product Business line and Oricopa Oy’s System Integration Business line were merged into established company. Senop Oy will continue developing and selling Millog Oy’s existing HUSKY product family, including high-performance image intensifiers, night sights, thermal cameras and target acquisition and observation systems, as well as implementing the latest sensor technology for advanced optical and optoelectrical systems.
Senop Oy’s products and services also include the development, design and manufacture of mobile tactical systems, C4I-platforms, mid-life upgrade programs and system integration services. All products are sold worldwide and are used by Defense Forces, Border Control, Special Forces, Navy, Police and Customs in several countries in a wide range of operations. Designed and built in Finland based on over 75 years of tradition and know-how, all of the devices have been field tested under extreme conditions and remain fully operational regardless of the environmental conditions. All products can be customized to meet precise customer requirements.
“The need for advanced sensor and multi-sensor systems is growing rapidly. To create reliable and real time situational awareness, the systems in use must be integrated and communicate together rather than functioning as traditional, standalone devices. Our aim is to grow strongly and implement new technologies in addition to our existing ones,” states Mr Mika Räty, CEO of Senop Oy.
“From day one, Senop Oy has had a very strong order book and financial situation based on a competitive product range meeting a range of customer needs, as well as possessing a set of world-class R&D resources and skills. This creates an excellent starting point for becoming a state-of-the-art sensor and system integration provider on the market,” says Millog Oy’s Senior Vice President, Mr Veli-Matti Kohtamäki. Senop Oy and Millog Oy are part of Patria Group.
